February’s Staff Profile will be Audrey Greenwood,  Advertising/Marketing Coordinator of UTP’s Journals Division.

How long have you worked at University of Toronto Press?
I have being employed by UTP since January 2000

What is your job title and briefly, what do you do?
Advertising/Marketing Coordinator, I sell print and online advertising, and develop and execute marketing activities for academic journals.

What is your favourite part about your job?
I love to design marketing  pieces such as flyers, ads, posters etc.

How has your job changed since you started?
When I started in 2000, my job title was Advertising/ Design Coordinator. Now I also have my hands in the marketing of 12 journals.

What advice can you give those trying to start a career in publishing?
It’s a very rewarding industry, but in order to keep abreast with what’s going on, you need to subscribe to the AAUP bulletin and The Scholarly Kitchen Blog. These are a great source of information.
