Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 6-12, 2024) is dedicated to global mental health education and the reduction of social stigma surrounding mental illness. Initiated by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), this week of observance aims to encourage open conversations about mental health.
In the spirit of this week, we are sharing a collection of scholarly articles from the University of Toronto Press (UTP) journals in topics related to mental health. Themes including workplace mental health, barriers to diagnoses, and hospitalization highlight the importance of addressing the reality of mental illness and engaging with mental health issues compassionately.
All articles will be available #FreetoRead until October 17.
