In The News: Wynne, Hudak, and Horwath – Risk-takers? or Opportunists?

In The News_ImageTaking risks is often unheard of in a provincial election. However, in an article published by the CBC, “Front-runners embracing risks in Ontario election campaigns”, Kathleen Wynne, Tim Hudak, and Andrea Horwath come under fire for taking risks in their election platforms. Wynne is risking her career on her big-spending budget that will increase Ontario’s deficit and raise taxes, while Hudak is promising job creation in addition to promising the cut of 9, 700 non-teaching positions. On the other hand, Andrea Horwath, is risking her success by ‘playing it safe’, simply promising to create more employment opportunities without any specific details.
